Hugo City Council Meeting Minutes for December 16, 2019 <br />Page 6 of 7 <br />Approve Reduction in the Letter of Credit for Oneka Place 3rd Addition <br />Oneka Place 3rd Addition had significant work completed to date, and the developer had <br />requested a reduction in the letter of credit. The current letter of credit was in the amount of <br />$2,131,352. Staff had inspected the work completed to date and recommended reducing the letter <br />of credit by $1,574,211 based on the value of the work remaining to be completed. The <br />remaining value of the letter of credit would be in the amount of $557,141. Adoption of the <br />Consent Agenda approved the reduction in letter of credit for Oneka Place 3rd Addition. <br />Approve Reduction in the Letter of Credit for Fable Hill 6th Addition <br />Fable Hills 6th Addition had significant work completed to date, and the developer was <br />requesting a reduction in the letter of credit. The current letter of credit was in the amount of <br />$745,739. Staff had inspected the work completed to date and recommended reducing the letter <br />of credit by $548,443 based on the value of the work remaining to be completed. The remaining <br />value of the letter of credit would be in the amount of $197,296. Adoption of the Consent <br />Agenda approve the reduction in letter of credit and cash escrow for Fable Hill 6th Addition. <br />Approve Retirement of Ron Gray from the Hugo Fire Department <br />Ron Gray had submitted his letter of retirement after 40 years of service on the Fire Department. <br />Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the retirement of Firefighter Ron Gray effective <br />February 15, 2020. <br />Weidt made motion, Miron seconded, to invite Ron Gray to a future Council meeting to <br />recognize his years of service on the Fire Department. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />Approve Advertisement and Sale of Public Works 2006 Sterling Plow Truck <br />Approved at the December 18, 2017 City Council meeting was the purchase of a 2018 Mack <br />plow truck for the Public Works Department. This truck had been received and replaced a 2006 <br />Sterling single axle plow truck (206-06). Adoption of the Consent Agenda authorized staff to <br />advertise and hold a sealed bid opening for the sale of the 2006 Sterling plow truck. <br />Donation to the Hugo Fire Department from the Hugo American Legion <br />Staff added this to the agenda to accept a donation from the Hugo American Legion to the Hugo <br />Fire Department in the amount of $300. These funds will go toward department training and <br />equipment. Adoption of the Consent Agenda accepted the donation of $300 to the Hugo Fire <br />Department. <br />Cancel January 20, 2020 Regular Council Meeting <br />City Administrator Bryan Bear explained that every year, the Council's second meeting in <br />January falls on the Martin Luther King Holiday. There were no agenda items scheduled for this <br />meeting and he recommended Council cancel the meeting on January 20, 2020. <br />
