Hugo City Council Meeting Minutes for January 6, 2020 <br />Page 10 of 11 <br /> <br /> <br />Mark Guenther with Fenway Land Company, and John Rask from M & I Homes were in the <br />attendance. Guenther talked about the homes and the market stating the idea is to have a mix of <br />products with the price point between the mid $300,000 to low $400,000. He stated, with <br />smaller lots, they are able to keep the prices lower. He talked about how the development <br />utilizes the land and wetlands and provides an affordable product for a lot of different buyers. <br />He compared the home to those constructed in the Adelaide Landing development. He talked <br />about the irrigation system saying it would be a community system reusing stormwater and each <br />house would have their own controls. Common spaces would be irrigated and maintained by the <br />HOA. Outlots would be deeded back to the City. Services for lawn care and snow removal <br />would be available a la cart. <br /> <br />Miron made motion, Petryk seconded, to approve ORDINANCE 2020-498 AMENDING <br />CHAPTER 90 (ZONING ORDINANCE) OF THE CITY CODE TO CLASSIFY CERTAIN <br />LAND LOCATED EAST OF GOODVIEW AVENUE NORTH AND NORTH OF EGG LAKE <br />ROAD (CSAH8). <br /> <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Miron made motion, Klein seconded, to approve RESOLUTION 2020-8 APPROVING PUD <br />GENERAL PLAN FOR FENWAY LAND COMPANY FOR “RICE LAKE RESERVE” ON <br />PROPERTY LOCATED EAST OF GOODVIEW AVENUE NORTH AND NORTH OF EGG <br />LAKE ROAD (CSAH 8). <br /> <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Update on the Yellow Ribbon Network <br /> <br />Council Member Chuck Haas and Phil Klein reported to Council on the Yellow Ribbon Network <br />activities held recently. Hass showed photos of the last Welcome Home Pheasant Hunt and said <br />they are working on their 23rd event to be held in March. He had pictures of one of the 33 <br />families that received Secret Santa Gifts. He had photos of military members receiving the <br />blankets made by Oneka Elementary School District students. The blankets were sent in care <br />packages along with notes of appreciation written by the students. Also shown were pictures of <br />soldiers who received Command Hooks and candy. The next Burger Night will be sponsored by <br />Lake Area Bank on Tuesday, January 28, 2020, from 5-8 p.m. at the Hugo American Legion. <br />Hass said the YRN is still receiving a lot of requests for help with home issues and requests for <br />care packages. <br />
