APRIL 20, 2020 — 7 P.M. <br />Meeting held remotely pursuant to MN Statute Sec. 13D.021. <br />ZOOM meeting ID # 947-5033-6477 <br />Mayor Weidt called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br />COUNCIL PRESENT REMOTELY: Haas, Klein, Miron, Petryk, Weidt <br />OTHERS PRESENT REMOTELY: City Engineer Mark Erichson, Community Development <br />Director Rachel Juba, Community Development Assistant Emily Weber <br />PRESENT AT CITY HALL: City Administrator Bryan Bear, City Clerk Michele Lindau <br />Recognition of Former Mayor and Fire Chief Joe (TJ) Marier <br />Mayor Weidt asked for a moment to remember and send condolences to the Marier family on the <br />passing of long time Hugo resident Joe Marier. Joe was a former Hugo Mayor, Fire Chief, <br />owner of the feed mill, and a huge part of Hugo's history. Joe was 101 years old. <br />Minutes for the April 6, 2020, City Council Meeting <br />Klein made motion, Petryk seconded, to approve the minutes for the City Council meeting held <br />on April 6, 2020, as presented. <br />Roll call vote — all ayes. Motion carried. <br />Minutes for the April 20, 2020, LBAE Meeting <br />Klein made motion, Miron seconded, to approve the minutes for the Local Board of Appeal and <br />Equalization meeting held on April 20, 2020, as presented. <br />Roll call vote — all ayes. Motion carried. <br />Approval of Agenda <br />Weidt made motion, Klein seconded, to approve the agenda as presented. <br />Roll call vote — all ayes. Motion carried. <br />Update on COVID-19 City Response <br />City Administrator Bryan Bear provided an update on how the City was responding to the <br />coronavirus pandemic. The City continues to be under a state of emergency. No actions have <br />been taken, but it puts the City in the act of readiness. He reviewed the rules for meetings <br />saying the public is able to watch on cable, live streaming, and can call in.
