Hugo City Council Meeting Minutes for April 20, 2020 <br />Page 2 of 6 <br /> <br /> <br />to protect the health, safety, and welfare of the public, keep staff healthy, and the continuance of <br />City services. Communication with health officials has been good, and the City is following <br />their guidelines. He informed Council of the new carryout liquor law which allows liquor to be <br />sold with food carryout service. Outdoor recreation is allowed as well as golf courses and <br />shooting ranges with new outdoor recreation guidelines that can be found on the DNR website. <br />These same guidelines are on signs posted by the City in all City parks. Property taxes are due <br />May 15, and the County is considering waiving late penalties for 60 days for payments not <br />escrowed through a mortgage company. The paving project with Lino Lakes for Cedar Avenue <br />and Elmcrest Avenue is scheduled to begin this month, and the Goodview Avenue Improvement <br />Project is out for bid for construction this summer. Work is still occurring on Water Tower No. 4 <br />with completion expected in October. He talked about support for business available through <br />Washington County Community Development and the Open for Business resource. Residents <br />who need support can find it through the Lions Club, food shelf, YMCA, schools, churches, and <br />other community service organizations. There is also help available through the County for <br />residents having difficulty making mortgage payments. <br /> <br />Consent Agenda <br /> <br />Petryk made motion, Klein seconded, to approve the following consent agenda: <br /> <br />1. Approve Claims Roster <br />2. Approve Ordinance Rezoning Property at 15500 Keystone Avenue North (Charles and <br />Marykay Haas) <br />3. Approve Resolution Approving Site Plan for Phase II at 13891 Forest Boulevard (TGK <br />Automotive) <br />4. Approve Resolution Declaring Approval to Modify the Municipal State Aid Street <br />System <br />5. Approve Hiring of Public Works Seasonal Employees <br /> <br />Roll call vote – all ayes. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Approve Claims Roster <br /> <br />Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the Claims Roster as presented. <br /> <br />Approve Resolution Approving Site Plan for Phase II at 13891 Forest Boulevard (TGK <br />Automotive) <br /> <br />Sullivan Day Construction had applied for site plan approval on behalf of TGK Automotive for <br />an approximately 2,900 square foot building addition located at 13891 Forest Boulevard North. <br />At its April 9, 2020 meeting, the Hugo Planning Commission considered the request and <br />recommended approval request. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved RESOLUTION <br />2020-19 APPROVING A SITE PLAN APPLICATION FOR PHASE II OF TGK <br />AUTOMOTIVE LOCATED AT 13891 FOREST BOULEVARD NORTH. <br /> <br />
