Hugo City Council Meeting Minutes for May 4, 2020 <br />Page 7 of 8 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Klein made motion, Petryk seconded, to approve the proposal from WSB for the Goodview <br />Avenue North Trail Feasibility Study and the use of SHIP funds. <br /> <br />Roll call vote – all ayes. Motion carried <br /> <br />Update on Services Provided by YMCA <br /> <br />Council Member Becky Petryk provided Council information on services provided by the <br />YMCA. They YMCA has been reaching out to do wellness checks on those 65 years and older, <br />and were there to help them find resources. On May 8 at the Forest Lake YMCA, they will be <br />giving away fresh produce from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.to anyone who needs it. This was being done in <br />partnership with Washington County and Second Harvest. Three hundred meals per day were <br />being provided by Loaves and Fishes and United Health Group. A Forest Lake business had <br />provided gift cards for residents for meals at local restaurants for pickup or delivery. Daycare <br />services were available for essential workers. Financial contributions to the YMCA were <br />appreciated. <br /> <br />Update on the Yellow Ribbon Network <br /> <br />Council Member Chuck Haas and Phil Klein reported to Council on the Yellow Ribbon Network <br />activities held recently. Haas showed photos of a “thank you” from chaplain Buddy Winn along <br />with photos of the group. The YRN assisted in getting a deck repaired for a White Bear Lake <br />Veteran. Haas reflected on the death of Sergeant Joe Bergeron, who was killed in the line of duty <br />ten years ago. Girl Scout cookies were still being sent overseas. The YRN fulfilled a request for <br />hand wash and assisted a family who needed home repairs due to mold. A donation was received <br />from the Bayport American Legion from meat raffle proceeds. <br /> <br />Schedule Annual Performance Review for City Administrator Bryan Bear <br /> <br />Bryan Bear has been employed with the City since May 3, 2004. Bryan served as the <br />Community Development Director until being appointed the City Administrator on November, <br />7, 2011. Staff requests Council schedule the annual performance review for City Administrator <br />Bryan Bear. <br /> <br />Weidt made motion, Haas seconded, to table the scheduling of the City Administrator <br />performance review until the May 18, 2020, meeting. <br /> <br />Roll call vote – all ayes.
