<br />4. Worker hygiene and source control <br />Basic infection prevention measures should be practiced at City Hall at all times. <br /> <br />Hand washing and hand sanitizer <br />Employees should wash their hands for at least 20 seconds with soap and water frequently throughout <br />the day, but especially at the beginning and end of their shift, prior to any mealtimes, and after using <br />the toilet. Employees should avoid touching their face. Hand sanitizer will be available to all employees <br />and to visitors at the front counter. <br /> <br />Cover your cough or sneeze <br />All employees and visitors should cover their mouth and nose with their sleeve or a tissue when <br />coughing or sneezing and to avoid touching their faces, in particular their mouth, nose and eyes with <br />their hands. They should dispose of tissues in the trash and wash or sanitize their hands immediately <br />afterwards. <br /> <br />Front Counter at City Hall <br />The front counter has been provided with Plexiglas shields to be used as a physical barriers between the <br />public and city staff. The counter surfaces should be sprayed with disinfectant following transactions <br />with the public. <br /> <br />5. Cleaning, disinfection, and ventilation protocols <br />As time allows, clean and disinfect high touch areas, including door handles, railings, copy machines, <br />countertops, etc. Employees should wipe down all common areas after each use with the provided <br />disinfecting products. Additionally, cleaning will occur on a regular basis by the City’s contracted <br />cleaning service. If a worker is diagnosed with COVID‐19, a deep clean of their work area will <br />immediately be performed, in addition to any common areas that the employee accessed. <br /> <br />6. Provisions specific to Public Works workers <br />Due to the nature of the jobs performed by the Public Works Department, employees are to implement <br />the following: <br /> <br />Communication <br /> No daily morning meeting, unless needed <br /> Duties, if changing from the prior day, will be communicated via text message <br /> Any group communications should be through text messages as practical <br /> <br />Vehicles and Equipment <br /> Limit one employee per vehicle <br /> Employees should use only their assigned vehicle for the entire week as practical. <br /> Vehicles and equipment should be disinfected at the start and end of each day <br /> Employee should disinfect vehicles and equipment before and after they are used, if used <br />intermittently <br /> Employee should disinfect vehicles and equipment if there is any question of contamination <br /> <br />Lunches <br /> Employees should NOT eat lunch in an area where social distancing of greater than 6’ cannot be <br />maintained <br /> Employees are recommended to bring lunches that are kept cold in a personal cooler and do not <br />require heating <br /> Employees are asked to eat lunch on the jobsite and or work through their break period and <br />leave 30 minutes early
