<br /> <br />14669 Fitzgerald Avenue North, Hugo, MN 55038 • (651) 762-6300 • www.ci.hugo.mn.us <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Introduction <br />The City of Hugo is seeking a qualified consultant to provide architectural planning and design services for the design <br />development of a multi-purpose pavilion at Lions Park, located adjacent to the Hugo City Hall at 14669 Fitzgerald <br />Avenue North, Hugo, MN 55038. <br />The following information shall be used to provide a letter proposal identifying a statement of qualifications summary <br />for the City of Hugo. <br /> <br />Project Information <br />The City of Hugo undertook a park master plan study in 2015 for Lions Park with an update to the master plan <br />completed in 2020 by WSB (see attached). The master plan identifies the vision for Lions Park and it is the intent of the <br />City of Hugo to begin the design development process of key elements of the master plan for consideration of inclusion <br />in a phase one implementation project for 2021. <br />The City of Hugo is seeking professional architectural design services to undertake the design development for the <br />multipurpose pavilion building identified on the master plan. <br /> <br />Scope of Services <br />The successful consultant is expected to include all work and consultants deemed necessary to complete the following <br />activities within the given timeframe: <br />a. Project Start-Up & Programming Meeting: The Architect shall attend a virtual project start-up meeting <br />with the City and WSB to review over the proposed schedule, confirm key stakeholder groups and <br />develop a clear understanding of the scope of the project and intended outcomes with discussion of <br />initial multipurpose building programming. <br /> <br />b. Steering Committee Meeting #1: The Architect will facilitate a virtual meeting with the City, WSB and <br />stakeholder committee (committee members selected by the City of Hugo) to brainstorm ideas and <br />confirm a programming list and goals for the multipurpose pavilion. <br /> <br />c. Conceptual Design: The Architect shall develop up to two (2) conceptual design development <br />approaches for the multipurpose pavilion building based on the programming goals developed with the <br />pavilion committee. The conceptual designs will illustrate potential building sizes, spatial configurations, <br />material selection, and character along with related cost considerations. The Architect shall coordinate <br />with WSB for the conceptual design for the exterior spaces surrounding the pavilion. <br /> <br />d. City Review Meeting: The Architect will facilitate a virtual meeting with the City and WSB to review the <br />conceptual design development approaches for review and feedback and make modifications as <br />necessary prior to the Steering Committee Meeting. <br />
