Minutes <br /> Parks, Recreation, and Open Space Commission <br /> Meeting of August 19, 2020 <br /> Hugo City Hall, 7:00 pm <br /> Meeting held remotely pursuant to Minn. Stat. Sec. 13D.021 <br /> Present: Roger Clarke,Shawn Haag, Mat Rauschendorfer, Nicole Schmid, Dave Strub, Ranell Tennyson <br /> Absent: Cathy Moore-Arcand <br /> Staff Present: Scott Anderson, Public Works Director <br /> Shayla Denaway, Parks Planner <br /> Debi Close, Secretary <br /> Strub called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm. <br /> 1. Approval of Minutes frond the July 15, 2020 Meeting <br /> Clarke made a motion, Strub seconded to approve the minutes of the July 15, 2020 Parks Commission <br /> Minuets. <br /> Ayes: Roger Clark, Nicole Schmid, Dave Strub <br /> Abstained: Mat Rauschendorfer,Shawn Haag, Ranell Tennyson <br /> Motion carried. <br /> 2. Goodview Avenue Trail Feasibility Study <br /> Shayla Denaway, Parks Planner, reviewed the feasibility study that was authorized at the April 15, 2020 Parks <br /> meeting. A wetland delineation was needed and has been completed. <br /> The City of Hugo received $10,000 in funding through the Statewide Health Improvement Program Active <br /> Living Partnership with Living Healthy Washington County program. A 10% match is required and funds need <br /> to be spent by October 31, 2020. <br /> Bailey Krause, WSB Landscape Architect gave a presentation showing the trail concepts. <br /> An on street route from Glenbrook Avenue N/144th Street N to Geneva Avenue N was proposed as an <br /> alternate to Goodview Avenue between 145th Street and Geneva Avenue.
