Shayla Denaway, Parks Planner informed the master plan has a water feature. Splash pad is not including in <br /> the design but material underlayment would be put into place to have options if decided in the future for <br /> some type of water feature or fountain. <br /> Rauschendofer asked if a fountain would utilize as much water as a splash pad. <br /> Candace Amberg, WSB associates informed if reused water was in place a fountain would use very little in <br /> comparison. <br /> Clark asked about the skate park being relocated. <br /> Candace Amberg, WSB associates informed it was relocated away from roads with a landscape barrier. <br /> Rauschendorfer asked why the skate park was not in visible sight with City Hall or hidden within the corner <br /> when pre planning discussion including it as needing to be visible for addition monitoring of issues. <br /> Schmid stated landscape berm wouldn't even allow anyone in the park to view. <br /> Shayla Denaway, Parks planner informed the subcommittees had discussed and agreed that with 147t'St N <br /> extended, more pedestrian and vehicle traffic would be in viewing sight more than any other options. <br /> Candace Amberg with WSB and associates presented the pavilion proposed design with preliminary cost <br /> estimates. Informing that a request was made by Mayor Tom Weidt to relook at sliding door options to open <br /> up the space to the outside area. <br /> The pavilion included: material types/color for interior and exterior, ceiling plans, restrooms, meeting space, <br /> storage, gathering space,serving area, countertops,cabinetry, sinks,serving window, column supports, <br /> sliding manual wall, building signage, window insulation/tinting, seating, lighting fixtures and water fountain <br /> with bottle filler. <br /> Design Development budget: <br /> Main Pavilion Building$2,072,700. <br /> Exterior covered spaces$277,725. <br /> Picnic Shelter$288,750. <br /> 7.5%contingency$197,938. <br /> Project construction budget total =$2,837,113. <br /> Rauschendorfer asked why the exterior color and contemporary prairie style were choose when they are not <br /> in the same schematic of the City Hall building. <br /> Shayla Denaway, Parks Planner informed the City Council wanted the structure to be a standalone impressive <br /> building. <br /> Rauschendorfer wanted to know if power lines can be buried or hidden. <br /> Candace Amberg, WSB associates informed a meeting is set to take place with Xcel to discuss option next <br /> week. <br /> Page 2 of 3 <br /> Parks Commission Minutes <br /> December 16,2020 <br />
