Report created on:3/31/21 Page 3 of 5
Activity Name Indicator Name Value & Units Waterbody Calculation Tool Comments
Hugo County Road 8
Stormwater Reuse Project
PHOSPHORUS (EST.
REDUCTION)
13.5 LBS/YR Peltier Lake Other Water Balance Calculator

Grant Activity
Grant Activity - County Road 8 Stormwater Reuse Construction
Description This activity includes the construction of all project components proposed for the County Road 8 Stormwater Reuse
system, including pump station with filtration system, operational controls, wet well structure, pump intake, non-potable
watermain, irrigation system improvements, and trail/waking path restoration in areas where it is damaged due to
construction of the reuse system. The proposed project will remove approximately 13.5 lbs per year of total phosphorus
from the watershed of the downstream impaired waterbody, Peltier Lake. The phosphorus reduction proposed with this
project will align with the TMDL plan for Peltier Lake to reduce nutrient loading to the waterbody through volume
reduction. The project will conserve approximately 14 million gallons of water per year by reducing the total amount of
groundwater that is pumped for irrigation. This will allow the City to move closer to their goals for maximum day peaking
factor.

The City of Hugo has retained WSB as the engineer for this project. WSB serves as the City's regular consulting engineer
and has experience with the design of similar systems. The City of Hugo will serve as the "Owner" for the construction
contract. All project components are to be located on property or rights-of-way owned by the City of Hugo. The City of
Hugo will operate and maintain the reuse project throughout its entire 25-yr effective life.
Category URBAN STORMWATER MANAGEMENT PRACTICES
Has Rates and Hours?
