CITY OF HUGO <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2021- <br /> <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RESCINDING THE LOCAL EMERGENCY <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on March 13, 2020, Governor Walz issued Executive Order 20-01 declaring a <br />peace time emergency and coordinating Minnesota's Strategy to Protect Minnesotans from COVID- <br />19; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on March 18, 2020, the Mayor determined a peace time emergency existed due <br />to the COVID-19 health pandemic and declared the situation a local emergency; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on March 20, 2020, the Council approved Resolution 2020-17, enacted under <br />authority of MN Statutes 12.29 and 12.37, to extend the Mayor declared local emergency; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on March 15, 2021, the Hugo City Council discussed the COVID-19 pandemic <br />and unanimously approved rescinding the City’s local emergency powers; and, <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED the City Council of the City of Hugo, <br />Minnesota, rescinds the local emergency effective midnight, March 15, 2021. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />PASSED AND DULY ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Hugo on this 5th day <br />of April, 2021. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> ______________________________ <br /> Tom Weidt, Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />_____________________________ <br />Michele Lindau, City Clerk
