Request for site plan, conditional use permit, <br />property line adjustment (with Xcel Energy), and development agreement to allow <br />for a new elementary school to be located west of Forest Boulevard North <br />(Highway 61) across from 152nd Street North. <br /> <br />DATE: March 31, 2021, for the City Council Meeting of April 5, 2021. <br /> <br />ZONING: Single Family Detached Residential (R-3) <br /> <br />60-DAY REVIEW DEADLINE: April 30, 2021 <br /> <br /> <br />1. PLANNING COMMISSION UPDATE: <br /> <br />At its March 25, 2021, meeting the Planning Commission held a public hearing and considered <br />the requests. There was one resident that spoke during the public hearing and asked about <br />buffering their property from the trail that extends to 157th Way North. The school district stated <br />they would work with the resident. The Planning Commission liked the site plan layout and the <br />architecture of the building. They all agreed is a good addition to the community and looking <br />forward to the school opening. The Planning Commission unanimously recommended approval <br />of the site plan, CUP, and property line adjustment for the White Bear Lake School District. <br /> <br />2. DESCRIPTION OF REQUEST: <br /> <br />The applicant is requesting approval of an approximately 100,000 square foot elementary school <br />and gymnasium, associated ball-fields, playground, and walking trails. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
