Finance Director Job Description <br />Page 3 of 3 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS <br /> <br /> Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration or closely related field. <br /> Minimum of seven years of progressively responsible experience in municipal <br />finance/accounting <br /> Minimum of three years as an Assistant Finance Director, Finance Coordinator or a <br />comparable position that includes supervisory responsibilities <br /> Current training and experience with the Governmental Accounting Standard Board’s <br />pronouncements. <br />Or, <br /> <br />Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the City may find appropriate and acceptable. <br /> <br /> <br />PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS <br /> <br />WORKING CONDITIONS <br />Work is performed in typical office environment that consists of an open work area and front counter <br />for providing customer service. Travel, consisting of short trips. <br />
