PLANNING COMMISSION UPDATE: <br />The Hugo Planning Commission reviewed the request submitted by Centra North, LLC for an <br />interim use permit at their regularly scheduled meeting on July 8, 2021. The request is to allow a <br />temporary off-site directional sign for the Meadows at Hugo residential development to be <br />located on property at 5850 159th Street North. The Planning Commission held a public hearing <br />and considered the request. No one spoke at the public hearing but comments were submitted to <br />staff prior to the meeting. The Planning Commission recommended approval of the interim use <br />permit for Centra North, LLC, subject to the conditions listed in the resolution and permit. <br />2. BACKGROUND AND DESCRIPTION OF REQUEST: <br />The applicant is Centra North, LLC and they are requesting approval of an interim use permit to <br />allow one temporary off-site directional sign for the Meadows at Hugo residential development. <br />The sign is proposed to be located at 5850 159th Street North. The property is owned by Connie <br />and Jeffrey Jungmann and is generally located on the northwest corner of 159th Street North and <br />Highway 61. <br />The applicant would like to direct prospective buyers to the development with the placement of <br />the sign. The sign is proposed to be located on the southeast corner of the property and outside of <br />the city and county right of way.
