PPU may be held if in accordance with local office/jurisdictional <br />protocols. <br />1. Likely attendees <br />a. Those who have met their fundraising minimum after the <br />mailing deadline. <br />b. Those turning in donations to meet their fundraising <br />minimum. <br />c. Those who registered within 2 weeks of event. <br />f. Event Day <br />i. Customer Service only oriented PPU for those who lost their packet, <br />forgot it at home, etc. <br />3. Packet Contents <br />a. All items must be pre-packaged and ready for distribution. <br />b. Packets must include (all bibs including “I ride for”, bike tags, safety pins, <br />stickers, sponsor giveaways, etc.). <br />i. Safety pins are not to be provided in bulk for participants, they must be <br />included in the pre-packaged packet. <br />4. Other Details <br />a. Online Registration will close at 12:00 p.m. the Thursday of event week. No <br />registrations will be taken after this time. <br />5. On-site layout <br />a. Packet pick-up must occur outdoors. <br />b. Packet pick-up must be utilitarian in nature and not designed for socialization or <br />to encourage “hanging out”. Eliminate all aspects that encourage loitering. <br />c. Refer to Venue Setup and Flow for general setup requirements. <br /> <br />VENUE SETUP AND FLOW <br />1. Physical distancing must be promoted to mitigate person-to-person contact <br />a. All federal, state, and local public health guidelines with respect to physical <br />distancing, cleaning and signage must be followed during site preparation and <br />flow must be altered to promote physical distancing of 6 feet or greater between <br />all staff, volunteers, participants also limiting person-to-person contact. <br />b. Ample signage must be placed in key areas of venue encouraging physical <br />distancing. <br />i. Add markings to the ground around potentially crowded areas to <br />encourage people to spread out. <br />ii. Provide educational signage and ground markings for physical distancing <br />in all areas where spectators may congregate. <br />c. Design your venue in a way that allows for smooth flow of participants , restricts <br />spectators access, and mitigates crowds forming.
