Participants will have signed a waiver/acknowledgement (electronically or
otherwise) during the registration process that they agree to our COVID 19
protocols.
2. Screening
a. In review of health screening standards for large gatherings, research has shown
that while temperature checks may be an acceptable method to indicate
symptoms leading to virus, it comes with limitations on accuracy. With the
exception of some local mandates, temperature checks are not required for
large gatherings. The CDC suggests that symptom survey and/o r a temperature
check is an acceptable approach for health screening. Given specific
considerations identified, the use of self -surveys affirming individual health
conditions prior to, and day of an event is considered a viable approach. To
minimize the risk associated with temperature checks performed by staff and
volunteers, we recommend the use of a web based application tracking
participant symptom/exposure checks prior to, and day of event where
permitted. Temperature Checks will only be performed if required by local
jurisdictions or venues.
i. Process
