Hugo City Council Meeting Minutes for November 15, 2021 <br />Page 3 of 6 <br /> <br />Approve Accounting Clerk Job Description <br /> <br />At the October 18, 2021, City Council Meeting, Council approved the advertisement for hiring a <br />new Accounting Clerk to fill a vacant position in the Finance Department. The Accounting <br />Clerk job description was created in 2008 and staff had updated the job description to reflect the <br />current needs of the Finance Department. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the <br />updated Accounting Clerk Job Description. <br /> <br />Approve Appointment of Amber Lozier as New Accounting Clerk <br /> <br />At the October 18, 2021, City Council Meeting, Council approved the advertisement for hiring a <br />new Accounting Clerk to fill a vacant position in the Finance Department. Amber Lozier had <br />worked for the City of Hugo as the Finance/Public Works Administrative Assistant since <br />October 2018. Over the past three years, she helped streamline the administrative functions of <br />the Public Works Department and provided clerical and accounting support to the Finance <br />Department. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the appointment of Amber Lozier as <br />the new Accounting Clerk for the City of Hugo. <br /> <br />Approve Advertisement for New Finance/Public Works Administrative Assistant <br /> <br />The appointment of Amber Lozier to Accounting Clerk left the Finance/Public Works <br />Administrative Assistant position vacant. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the <br />advertisement for hiring a new Finance/Public Works Administrative Assistant to fill that <br />position <br /> <br />Approve Finance/Public Works Administrative Assistant Job Description <br /> <br />The Finance/Public Works Administrative Assistant job description was created in 2018 and <br />staff had updated the job description to reflect the current needs of the Finance Department and <br />Public Works Department. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the updated <br />Finance/Public Works Administrative Assistant Job Description. <br /> <br />Approve Purchase of Ford F150 Truck for Building Department <br /> <br />With the hiring of an additional building inspector, the Building Department was in need of an <br />additional vehicle for inspections use. City staff has received a quote from Midway Ford to <br />provide a 2022 Ford F-150 for the Building Department. This truck would be ordered through <br />the State of Minnesota purchasing contract. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the <br />purchase a 2022 Ford F-150 from Midway Ford in the amount of $35,704.60. <br /> <br />Approve Ordering and Purchase of a New Ford Expedition for the Hugo Fire Department <br />to Replace Unit CV1 <br /> <br />Included in the City’s 2022 Equipment Purchasing Fund was funding for the replacement of the <br />Fire Department’s 2012 GMC Truck. Due to current market conditions and shortages of parts <br />worldwide, vehicles were taking six to eight months to receive after ordering. Because of this, <br />the Fire Department was requesting approval to order the vehicle in 2021 so that delivery would <br />be ensured in 2022.
