Minutes for the Planning Commission Meeting of Thursday, May 13, 2021 <br />Meeting held remotely pursuant Minn. Stat. Sec. 1313.021 <br />Chair Kleissler called the meeting to order at 7:01 pm. <br />PRESENT: Arcand, Derr, Fry, Kleissler, Luchsinger, Mulvihill, Petty. <br />ABSENT: Lessard. <br />STAFF: Rachel Juba, Community Development Director <br />Emily Weber, Community Development Assistant <br />Pledge of Allegiance. <br />Approval of Minutes for the Planning Commission Meeting of April 8, 2021 <br />Commissioner Arcand made a motion, seconded by Commissioner Petty to approve minutes for the <br />meeting of April 8, 2021 with corrections as mentioned. <br />Ayes: Arcand, Derr, Fry, Kleissler, Luchsinger, Mulvihill, Petty. <br />Nay: None. <br />Motion carried. <br />Public Hearing: Oneka Lake Reserve. LLC — Preliminary Dlat and PUD reauest for 40 multifami <br />residential units to be known as Oneka Lake Reserve <br />Staff provided a background on the request submitted by Oneka Lake Reserve, LLC. The applicant is <br />asking for approval of a preliminary plat and planned unit development to allow 40 townhome units on <br />the 6.7-acre site located north on 1501" Street North. The proposed development has a net density of <br />6.4 units per acres where 6 to 8 units per acre are allowed in the Low Density Multifamily Residential <br />zoning district. The townhome units are proposed to be a mix of two and three unit buildings. The <br />applicant is also proposing a 0.45-acre public park be constructed with the development. <br />Staff reviewed the preliminary plat and PUD for consistency with the applicable standards outlined in <br />the Comprehensive Land Use Regualtaions and the Multi -Family Design Guidelines and found that the <br />proposed application is generally consistent with the standards and included conditions to address the <br />outstanding issues. Staff recommended approval of the preliminary plat and PUD for Oneka Lake <br />Reserve, subject to the conditions listed in the resolution. <br />
