Clearwater Creek Preserve/JD 3 Update <br />At the meeting of September 19, 2018, a master plan was approved for Clearwater Creek Preserve. It <br />included four potential phases and cost estimates. Future improvements include an entrance off of 1401n <br />Street, several looped trails with boardwalks, 2 bridges over the creek, and east and west trail connections to <br />residential areas. <br />Staff was informed in the fall of 2019 by Rice Creek Watershed District of their plans to repair Judicial Ditch <br />#3 throughout the City of Hugo. Staff met with RCWD staff to discuss the impacts to city -owned property. In <br />regards to Clearwater Creek Preserve, discussion included locating the maintenance path desired by RCWD in <br />a way that it enhances use of the park. The Parks Commission discussed this at their meeting of February 19, <br />2020. Staff will provide an update on this project. <br />A SKETCH OF THE MAINTENANCE PATH WITH THE APPROVED MASTER PLAN IS ATTACHED AS WELL AS AN AGREEMENT TO PROVIDE <br />ACCESS TO RCWD. <br />Recreation Program Update <br />With COVID-19, several recreation opportunities were cancelled in Hugo.
