Strub requested City Staff to have a third concept plan drafted before the fall budgeting and CIP <br />planning meeting. <br />St. Pierre asked if something could be done during the planning interim to encourage the use. <br />Denaway informed a discussion has already occurred with Scott Anderson, Public Works Director about <br />shrub clearing and mowing to improve access this summer and that the concepts will be revisited in the <br />fall. <br />4. Beaver Ponds Playground Replacement <br />Denaway informed that the 2021 CIP funding allocated $60,000 to replace the playground equipment at <br />Beaver Ponds Park. The Lions park play equipment needs to be removed for the construction of the new <br />park and should be located to Beaver Ponds. Cost estimates were presented to replace the <br />trails/sidewalks, new playground container curb, removal of existing equipment, installation of the new <br />equipment, new surfacing, irrigation repairs, site restoration and landscaping improvements totaling <br />$56,000. <br />Tennyson made a motion, Moore-Arcand seconded to approve a budget of $56,000 to reinstall the <br />playground equipment from Lions Park to Beaver Ponds Park. <br />Ayes: Cathy Moore-Arcand, Roger Clarke, Emily McGinnity, Mat Rauschendorfer, Nicole Schmid, Dave <br />Strub, Ranell Tennyson <br />Motion carried. <br />5. 2021 Recreation Programs <br />Forest Lake YMCA is continuing the Park Play Days at Hanifl Fields Athletic Park and Washington County <br />will be hosting Library in the Parks. The YMCA is requesting the city's contribution of $2,000 be <br />increased to $2,500 to offset additional costs due to COVID. <br />Tennyson made a motion, Moore-Arcand seconded to approve the $2,500 donation to the YMCA <br />programming services. <br />Ayes: Cathy Moore-Arcand, Roger Clarke, Emily McGinnity, Mat Rauschendorfer, Nicole Schmid, Dave <br />Strub, Ranell Tennyson <br />Motion carried. <br />6.
