Minutes <br />Parks, Recreation, and Open Space Commission <br />Meeting of March 17, 2021 <br />Hugo City Hall, 7:00 pm <br />Meeting held remotely pursuant to Minn. Stat. Sec. 13D.021 <br />Present: Cathy Moore-Arcand, Roger Clarke, Emily McGinnity, Mat Rauschendorfer, Nicole Schmid, <br />Dave Strub, Ranell Tennyson. <br />Staff Present: Shayla Denaway, Parks Planner <br />Debi Close, Parks Secretary <br />Chair Strub called the meeting to order at 7:02 pm. <br />1. Approval of Minutes from the February 17, 2021 Meeting <br />Moore-Arcand made a motion, Raushendorfer seconded to approve the minutes of the February 17, <br />2021 Parks Commission meeting. <br />Ayes: Cathy Moore-Arcand, Roger Clarke, Emily McGinnity, Mat Rauschendorfer, Nicole Schmid, Dave <br />Strub, Ranell Tennyson. <br />Motion approved. <br />2. Lions Park Update <br />The City Council held a workshop February 23, 2021 to revise the pavilion design. Denaway shared <br />updates on the pavilion roof changes, site furnishings, playground and court spaces. <br />3. Sunset Lake City Owned Property Update <br />Denaway shared an update on a letter received from a resident regarding access and use of the city - <br />owned property on Sunset Lake. The concepts that were drafted for the property in 2020 were <br />revisited. <br />Discussion included: removing kayak storage rack, future shelter, adding trash receptacles and a bike <br />rack, and where to locate the access to not impact neighboring properties. <br />Page 1 of 3 <br />Parks Commission Minutes <br />March 17, 2021 <br />
