Motion carried. <br />Additional project updates were discussed: <br />Lions Park, Beaver Ponds playground replacement, Arcand Park, Sunset Lake and Oneka Place Trail <br />Clearing, Lions Park/School Trail Feasibility Study and Irish Avenue Park Planning. <br />The Capital Improvement Plan allocated funding for all current project listed. Fund identified as <br />miscellaneous trail improvements and water access improvements identified on the list are not <br />anticipated to be used in 2021. <br />Strub asked when the Lions Park playground will be removed. Denaway informed it will be relocated <br />after Good Neighbor Days in June. <br />Strub asked City staff if any value was determined on saving the Beaver Ponds park playground <br />equipment once the new replacement from Lions park equipment is installed. Scott Anderson, Public <br />Works Director informed that the company removing it will recycle and re -use the equipment as <br />possible. However, there isn't a value to it. <br />Strub asked if there will be a fence around the Arcand Park pickle ball court. Denaway informed that <br />there is no funding in 2021 for the fencing. <br />Anderson informed that Arcand Park will have some grading done in spots and receive a second <br />application of hydro seed where needed. <br />Strub informed that at the Sunset Lake HOA meeting recently held, they discussed clearing of the lake <br />access to expand visual awareness of the property and there were mixed responses. Anderson said the <br />intent of clearing the lot is to provide access and visibility. Signage for private property will be place and <br />mature trees will be protected in the brush clearing. <br />3. Public Works Facility Update <br />Anderson updated that all foundation walls at the new Public Works facility has been installed and <br />construction is moving fast. Electricity, plumbing, and utilities should be installed in the next two weeks. <br />The parking lot and pavement will be done in August and the move in date is tentatively set for February <br />1, 2022. <br />Strub asked if the parking lot will be usable for residents with current construction and in the winter at <br />the new public works facility and Irish Avenue Park. Anderson informed that the current lot is still being <br />maintained for trails with mowing and in the winter the parking area will be plowed for the public to <br />continue use on the property. <br />Moore-Arcand asked if there will be any hill areas for sledding or cross-country skiing. Anderson <br />informed that a neighbor was concerned with trail being close to his property and screening was <br />discussed. Soil was relocated from the construction site at a minimal cost for additional privacy.
