Minutes <br />Parks, Recreation, and Open Space Commission <br />Meeting of May 20, 2021 <br />Hugo City Hall, 7:00 pm <br />Meeting held at City Hall and remotely pursuant to Minn. Stat. Sec. 13D.021 <br />Present: Cathy Moore-Arcand, Mat Rauschendorfer, Nicole Schmid, Dave Strub, Ranell Tennyson, <br />Meredith St. Pierre. <br />Absent: Roger Clarke, Emily McGinnity <br />Staff Present: Scott Anderson, Public Works Director <br />Shayla Denaway, Parks Planner <br />Debi Close, Parks Secretary <br />Chair Strub called the meeting to order at 7:02 pm. <br />1. Approval of Minutes from the April 21, 2021 Meeting <br />Moore-Arcand made a motion, Tennyson seconded to approve the minutes of the April 21, 2021 Parks <br />Commission meeting. <br />All ayes. Motion carried. <br />2. Neighborhood Park Upgrades <br />Parks Planner Shayla Denaway presented the staff recommendations on neighborhood park <br />improvements with funding allocated in the 2021 Capital Improvement plan. <br />Victor Square concrete repairs: $3,800 <br />Hanifl Fields Athletic Park concrete repairs: $6,500 <br />Benches in Clearwater Cove: $5,000 <br />Scott Anderson, Public Works Director informed that at Victor Square the City provides maintenance <br />consistent with other City Parks, but a lot of it is handled by the Victor Gardens Home Owners' <br />Association. <br />Moore-Arcand made a motion, Tennyson seconded to approve $16,000 for upgrades for Victor <br />Gardens/Hanifl Fields concrete repairs and new benches for Clear Water Cove Park. <br />Page 1 of 3 <br />Parks Commission Minutes <br />May 20, 2021 <br />
