3. CITY COMPARISON: <br />The Metropolitan Council published the initial results from the 2020 Census in August <br />2021. Hugo's population went from 13,332 in 2010 to 15,766 in 2020. This equates to a <br />population change of 2,434 and growth rate of 18.2%. <br />The City of Roseville researched the 2020 park dedication fees charged by select cities <br />and shared this information with staff (attachment 3). The Metropolitan Council <br />identified "Growth -leading Communities" based on population added and growth rate <br />between 2010 and 2020 (attachment 4). A comparison with cities with a similar growth <br />rate and a comparison with cities with a similar population are shown on Table 1 and 2 <br />below.
