I.1 Approve 2022 City Focus Goals and Ongoing Priorities <br /> <br />The Council held a workshop on Monday, January, 2022, to establish goals for the year. City <br />Administrator Bryan Bear will provide a recap of the workshop and recommend Council approve <br />the 2022 City Focus Goals and Ongoing Priorities. <br /> <br />I.2 Update on Hopkins Schoolhouse <br /> <br />The Hopkins Schoolhouse has met recently to discuss the future of the Hopkins Schoolhouse. <br />An update will be provided to Council. <br /> <br />J.1 Discuss and Adopt the Street CIP <br /> <br />Each year the City reviews and assesses priorities for upcoming capital improvement projects <br />throughout the City. Staff has reviewed recent road rating data completed in 2021 and has <br />developed an updated 5-year Capital Improvements Plan for your consideration. Attached is the <br />map highlighting the proposed capital improvements as well as the associated costs for years <br />2022-2026. Staff discussion has included Finance Director Wobse to confirm that the plan as <br />outlined is economically feasible and fits with long term financial planning. Staff recommends <br />approval of the 2022-2026 Capital Improvement Plan. <br /> <br />J.2 Authorize Preparation of Plans and Specs for 140th Street Improvement Project <br /> <br />At its January 3, 2022, meeting, the City Council approved the site plan, conditional use permit, <br />and development and assessment agreement for the seventh building in the Schwieters campus <br />development. The approval included the extension of 140th Street being added to the City Streets <br />Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). Funding for the project will be provided through assessing 50% <br />of the total surface and storm sewer improvements to the benefiting property with the City <br />funding the remaining 50%. One hundred percent of the watermain improvements will be <br />assessed to the benefiting property with the City covering the cost of upsizing the pipe to 12” for <br />future development Staff recommends approval of the resolution ordering the project and <br />authorizing the preparation of plans and specifications for the 140th Street Extension Project. <br /> <br />M.1 Hugo Area Business Association Breakfast Tuesday, February 8, 2022 <br /> <br />The Hugo Business Association will hold a breakfast meeting on Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at <br />7:30 a.m. at the Blue Heron. Staff has posted this as a meeting for the Council to attend. <br /> <br />M.2 Reschedule Second Meeting in February to Tuesday, February 22, 2022 <br /> <br />Annually, the President’s Day Holiday falls on the same day as the second Council meeting in <br />February and would need to be rescheduled or cancelled. Staff has agenda items and <br />recommends Council reschedule the meeting for February 22, 2022. <br /> <br />M.3 Sledding Party Saturday, February 26, 2022 <br /> <br />The City of Hugo will be hosting a sledding party on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at Oak Shore <br />Park from 10 a.m. to noon. <br />
