The County will pay 50% of the design engineering costs necessary to add the <br />traffic signal and associated pedestrian ramps to the Project. <br /> <br />c. Construction Engineering/Contract Administration <br />Construction engineering/contract administration costs will be construction <br />observation, construction testing, construction administration, staking, conducting and <br />recording the pre-bid, pre-construction and weekly construction meetings, reviewing <br />monthly pay estimates, labor compliance, and other administrative functions necessary <br />for the Project. Construction engineering/contract administration is 8% of the <br />construction cost. Based on the County’s share of the construction cost, the County will <br />pay the prorated cost of construction engineering/contract administration for its share <br />of the project. After the City has awarded the construction contract, the City will provide <br />to the County an updated estimate of the construction engineering/contract <br />administration cost. <br /> <br />d. Actual County costs and shares will be based on the following: <br />i. Construction will be based on the contractor's unit prices and final quantities at <br />Project completion including all contract changes. <br />ii. Design engineering will be based on the actual design costs incurred by the city <br />directly attributable to inclusion of the traffic signal and associated pedestrian <br />ramps into the Project. <br />iii.
