2
It is likely that county road improvements in this area in the future could include dedicated left and right turn
lanes from CSAH 7 (122nd St) to CR 57 (Keller Ave). Because both of the existing school driveways are within the
extent of the future right turn lane for CR 57, construction of such turn lanes could also cause some safety and
operational concerns for the driveways if they are not relocated.
The cost of any future turn lanes serving the school site driveways would be borne by the driveway owner,
however we are not requiring such construction at this time because, as noted above, these are preexisting
driveways maintaining the same usage, and therefore not requiring a new access permit at this time.
As the site expands and its traffic increases, it would be beneficial to remove the direct driveway access(es) from
CSAH 7 (122nd St) and instead service the site via CR 57 (Keller Ave). Doing so would further elongate the
internal loop thus allowing more internal stacking , and also allow for the driveway to connect to a road with
significantly lower volumes and lower operating speeds.

Ensuring safe operations around schools is of paramount importance, and such issues can be much more difficult to
address traffic issues once site plans and permits are finalized, so we thank you again for the opportunity to review and
comment on this proposal.
