Since 2015 <br />Q: Any other Committees/ <br />Commissions/community <br />organizations that you <br />serve on? <br /> City of Hugo Ordinance Review Committee and Washington- <br />Ramsey County Farm Bureau, President <br />Q: What is your favorite thing about Hugo? <br /> I was raised on a century farm in eastern Hugo, and now live in <br />one of our residential neighborhoods. I’m grateful that Hugo <br />has diverse land uses where you can find vibrant residential <br />communities, services and jobs in our commercial and industrial <br />areas, as well as rural open spaces. <br />Q: What is your favorite thing to do in Hugo? <br /> With an active two year old, we enjoy family walks and bike rides <br />along Hugo’s many trails and playing in our parks. <br />CITY COUNCIL GOALS <br />CONSERVATION EFFORTS <br /> • Evaluate water reuse projects <br /> • Continue to promote conservation <br />practices through education and incentives <br /> • Be a leader in regional activities related <br />to water resource management <br />ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT <br /> • Continue to work on programs to <br />encourage new businesses and expansions <br /> • Continue to strengthen partnerships <br />with Washington County, HBA, and <br />marketing entities <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT <br /> • Update shoreland, subdivision, and planned <br />unit development sections of the City Code <br /> • Review design guidelines for commercial <br />and industrial development <br />INFRASTRUCTURE <br /> • Complete construction of the new <br />Public Works facility <br /> • Reconstruct Oneka Parkway <br /> • Complete ongoing maintenance <br />activities on Judicial Ditches 2 & 3 <br />PARKS PROJECTS <br /> • Complete construction of Lions Park. <br /> • Work with White Bear Lake School District <br />on extension of trails to North Star <br />Elementary <br />PUBLIC SAFETY <br /> • Conduct regular evaluations of emergency <br />services and evaluate staffing needs of the <br />Hugo Fire Department and Washington <br />County Sheriff’s Department <br />Learn about all ongoing City Council goals at: <br />www.ci.hugo.mn.us/goals 3
