Hugo City Council Meeting Minutes for November 7, 2022 <br />Page 5 of 5 <br /> <br /> <br />Approve Quote from Arnt Construction for Demolition of Buildings at 6540 Greene Ave. N. <br />(Bernin Property) <br /> <br />Staff had received quotes from four contractors for the demolition of the buildings located at 6540 <br />Greene Avenue North. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved a contract in the amount of <br />$62,500.00 with Arnt Construction for the demolition work at 6540 Green Avenue North.. <br /> <br />Approve Purchase of New Brush Truck for the Hugo Fire Department <br /> <br />Included in the City’s 2023 budget was funding for the purchase of a new brush truck for the Fire <br />Department. This would replace a 1997 Jeep Wrangler. Due to the current market conditions and <br />shortage of parts worldwide, the department had been advised by Midway Ford that this vehicle <br />could take 6 to 8 months or even longer to receive after order. Therefore, Fire Chief Jim Compton <br />had requested approval now in order to ensure it could be received in a timely manner in 2023. <br />The cost of this vehicle was as expected, and staff had budgeted in the capital improvement plan <br />appropriately for the replacement. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the ordering of a <br />2023 Ford F350 Super Duty from Midway Ford Commercial Fleet and Government Sales. <br /> <br />Reminder - General Election on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 <br /> <br />City Administrator Bryan Bear reminded Council the General Election would be held on Tuesday, <br />November 8, 2022. Polls would be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Information on voting could be <br />found on the MN Secretary of State website, the City of Hugo website, or by calling City Hall. <br /> <br />Reminder and Schedule Time for Commissioner Interviews on Monday, November 14, 2022 <br /> <br />City Administrator Bryan Bear reminded Council commissioner interviews were scheduled for <br />Monday, November 14, 2022. There were ten applicants. Staff had prepared a schedule for <br />Council with a starting time of 5 p.m. <br /> <br />Reminder and Schedule Tim – Board of Canvassing on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 <br /> <br />City Administrator Bryan Bear reminded Council the Board of Canvas was scheduled to meet on <br />Tuesday, November 15, 2023, at 5 p.m. in the Council Chambers for the purpose of certifying the <br />2022 election results. <br /> <br />Adjournment <br /> <br />Klein made motion, Petryk seconded, to adjourn at 7:23 p.m. <br /> <br />All Ayes.
