Page | 1 <br /> <br /> Public Works <br />Lead Worker - Parks <br />Job Description <br />______________________________________________________________________________ <br /> <br />Reports to: Public Works Director, takes direction from the Public Works <br />Supervisor. <br /> <br />Communicates Internally with: Other Public Works employees, Police and <br />Fire Department personnel, administrative staff. <br /> <br />Communicates Externally with: Contractors, suppliers, general public. <br /> <br />Job Overview <br />Organizes and leads a crew of workers in parks maintenance activities including prioritizing <br />daily work tasks and implementing long range goals concerning the City’s park infrastructure. <br />Leads crew in troubleshooting and performing complex maintenance repairs to the City’s park <br />infrastructure. <br />Essential Functions <br /> Parks Crew Leadership <br />• Leads a crew of workers in parks maintenance activities by prioritizing work tasks, <br />determining work methods, and ensuring proper resources are used. <br />• Monitors progress and reviews work output and results to determine if standards are <br />met and takes corrective action as needed. <br /> <br /> <br />Department: Public Works Hours Worked: 40 <br />Pay Grade: 6 FLSA: Non-Exempt <br />Immediate Supervisors: Public Works Supervisor and Public Works <br />Director. <br />Employees Supervised: Part-Time and Seasonal Public Works Employees <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
