I.5 Approve 2023 City Council Focus Goals and Ongoing Priorities The Council held their annual Goal Setting Workshop on Monday, January 23, 2023. Council reviewed goals that were drafted by staff that included input from City staff and all commissions. City Administrator Bryan Bear will provide a recap of the meeting and request Council formally approve the 2023 City Focus Goals and Ongoing Priorities. J.1 Consideration of Moratorium on Solar Farms Solar Energy Systems Following discussions at the Planning Commission and at the Council Goals Setting Session, reviewing policies on solar energy is one of the City’s 2023 goals. Since there is increased interest in building solar in the City at this time, Council may wish to consider a moratorium on Solar Energy Systems while the ordinance is being reviewed. Staff will lead this discussion with the Council. M.1 Sledding Party on Saturday, February 11, 2023 The annual Sledding Party will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2023 from 10 a.m. to noon at Oakshore Park. M.2 HBA Business Breakfast/State of the City Address on Tuesday, February 14, 2023 The Hugo Area Business Association will hold a business breakfast on Tuesday, February 14, 2023, at the Blue Heron Grill from 7:30 -9 a.m. Mayor Weidt will present the State of the City Address. Staff recommends Council schedule this as a meeting to attend. M.3 Cancel Regular City Council Meeting Due to Presidents’ Day February 20, 2023, The second regular Hugo City Council meeting is scheduled for February 20, 2023. This is the same day as the Presidents’ Day Holiday. Staff recommends Council cancel their regular meeting on February 20, 2023, due to the Presidents’ Day Holiday. M.4 Reschedule Workshop with the Fire Department for Tuesday, February 21, 2023 The workshop with the Hugo Fire Department for January 25, 2023, had been cancelled. Staff recommends Council reschedule the workshop for Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at 7 p.m. at City Hall. N. Adjournment
