60% of station drills.2 All firefighters must satisfy and complete all mandatory <br />department training. <br /> <br /> If a mandatory training or drill is missed, with the (exceptiont offor EMS Training), <br />employees have one year to make it up in the current calendar year. If EMR Mod <br />trainingif EMS Training is missed, the employee must make up the training in there <br />their recertification cycle. Those employees that fail to make up missed training or <br />drills will be given a verbal warning. If an employee has already received a <br />disciplinary action, the second offense shall be reviewed by the Fire Chief and <br />appropriate discipline, up to and including termination, may be implemented based <br />upon the circumstances. <br /> <br />11.4 Firefighter Emergency Call Expectations. The Hugo Fire Department is responsible <br />for responding to emergency situations in a timely fashion with adequate resources. <br />Firefighters are expected to respond promptly to the station unless released by <br />Incident Commanda chief officer or duty officer and to remain until the call is <br />completed or released by the Incident Commander.a ranking officer. <br /> <br /> <br />In addition to training attendance, firefighters are required to respond to 25% of <br />emergency calls. Call percentages are reviewed annually. If a firefighter does not <br />meet annual attendance requirements, their superior will notify the employee <br />following the release of the annual percentages.3 <br /> <br />Any disciplinary action will be kept on record within the employee personnel file. <br />Training and meeting attendance is tracked separately by assigned officers; <br />however, it is the responsibility of each employee that they keep track of their <br />training and meeting attendance to maintain good standing within the department. <br /> <br />11.5 Firefighter Emergency Call Holiday Coverage. The City will pay time and half for <br />all calls that occur on all city-recognized holidays as specified in section 29.0 a.4 <br />3.0 Drug and Alcohol Free Workplace <br /> <br />It shall be the policy of the City to maintain a drug-free workplace and to: <br /> <br />1. Implement a drug-free awareness program to inform employees of the dangers of drug <br />abuse in the workplace and to identify and offer rehabilitative guidance to employees <br />whose substance abuse habits have caused or contributed or may have caused or <br />contributed to job problems; <br /> <br />2.
