Hugo City Council Meeting Minutes for October 17, 2022 <br />Page 2 of 6 <br /> <br /> <br />Minutes for the October 8, 2022, Hugo Fire Department Open House <br /> <br />Klein made motion, Strub seconded, to approve the minutes for the Hugo Fire Department Open <br />House held on October 8, 2022, as presented. <br /> <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Approval of Agenda <br /> <br />Weidt made motion, Klein seconded, to approve the agenda as presented. <br /> <br />All Ayes. Motion carried <br /> <br />Hugo Yellow Ribbon Network Update – President Chuck Haas <br /> <br />Hugo Yellow Ribbon Network President Chuck Haas provided Council an update on recent <br />activities of the YRN. The network is continuing to send out care packages. The fourth Monday of <br />the month is Burger Night at the Hugo American Legion. Klondike Kate was the guest at the last <br />Burger Night. A Welcome Home Pheasant Hunt was recently held at Wild Wings. The YRN <br />received a shadow box in appreciation, and Haas stated the YRN had received several shadow <br />boxes and he wondered where they could be displayed. The Gold Meadows Hunting Preserve now <br />holds Military Appreciation Hunts that the YRN helps with. YRN volunteers will be holding <br />Bingo and meat raffles at Sal’s Angus Grill. Shoot for the Troops had an event at Wild Wings in <br />August, and another event held in Rice Lake raised over $80,000. Volunteers work concessions <br />at the University of Minnesota during games and make approximately $2,000 per game. A youth <br />military hunt was held in September. The YRN will partner again with the Washington County <br />Sheriff’s Department for Shop With a Cop. The YRN will be looking for volunteers again this year <br />for Secret Santa. Haas acknowledged the Council’s support of the YRN and the volunteers who <br />are still going strong since 2009. <br /> <br />Approval of Consent Agenda <br /> <br /> Miron made motion, Klein seconded, to approve the following Consent Agenda: <br /> <br />1. Approve Claims Roster <br />2. Approve Annual Performance Review for Public Works Worker Paul Christianson <br />3. Approve Annual Performance Review for Finance Director Anna Wobse <br />4. Approve Hiring of Joseph Hinzman as New Administrative Intern <br />5. Approve Final Payment to Ebert Construction for the Public Works Facility <br />6. Approve Final Payment to Ebert Construction for Material and Storage Building <br />7. Approve Pay Request No. 2 to Iseler Demolition, Inc. for Water Tower No. 2 Demolition <br />8. Approve Update to Everton Avenue Alternative Urban Areawide Review (AUAR <br /> <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br /> <br /> <br />
