Hugo City Council Meeting Minutes for October 17, 2022 <br />Page 5 of 6 <br /> <br /> <br />contractor would get funding from money the committee had raised themselves and in-kind work. <br />He said the committee understood that what they do to the roof would be at their own risk, and the <br />patching would not influence the City’s decision on the future of the structure. It was noted that <br />water would likely continue to damage the facility. <br /> <br />Bear recommended Council approve an extension and ask for a report from the group at the end of <br />the year. He also recommended Council approve the work on the roof. <br /> <br />Weidt thanked the committee for their progress and agreed it made sense to give them more time <br />to put an actionable plan together. <br /> <br />Strub suggested they put some signage on the site to perhaps get others interested in the project. <br /> <br />Weidt made motion, Klein seconded, to extend the deadline to the end of the year and approve the <br />committee to perform a patch on the roof. <br /> <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Update on Annual Bus Tour <br /> <br />The City held its annual bus tour on Saturday, October 1, 2022. City Administrator Bryan Bear <br />provided a recap of the tour and thanked everyone for their participation. He said it was a good <br />opportunity for staff to receive feedback on projects staff was working on, which leads into goal <br />setting discussions. <br /> <br />Weidt added that there was good participation from all levels of government. <br /> <br />Schedule Commissioner Interviews for Monday, November 14, 2022 <br /> <br />At its October 3, 2022 meeting, Council requested staff propose a date on which to hold <br />commissioner interviews. Staff recommended Council schedule interviews for Monday, <br />November 14, 2022, at 7 p.m. <br /> <br />Miron made motion, Petryk seconded, to schedule commissioner interviews for Monday, <br />November 14, 2022. <br /> <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Schedule Santa Party for Wednesday, December 7, 2022 <br /> <br />City Administrator Bryan Bear informed Council the second annual Santa Party would be held on <br />Wednesday, December 7, 2022, from 5-7 p.m. at the Peder Pedersen Pavilion. This event would <br />be sponsored by the City and include a visit from Santa, Children’s Performing Arts, and a lighting <br />ceremony. He recommended Council schedule a meeting to attend the Santa Party. <br /> <br /> <br />
