The City’s 2023 General Budget has accounted for a dust control project in 2023. <br /> <br />As in past years, staff will also work with May Township to cost share for the application of dust control on the <br />shared portion of Keystone Ave. north of County Road 4. <br /> <br />Quotes for dust control were received and opened on April 21, 2023. The following prices were received: <br /> <br />Northern Salt Inc. - $1.278/gallon (1st application), $1.278/gallon (2nd application) <br />Envirotech Services - $1.32/gallon (1st application), $1.32/gallon (2nd application) <br /> <br />With City Council approval, staff would coordinate with Northern Salt to deliver and place a total of 101,107 <br />gallons of calcium chloride in two separate applications, once in mid-June and again in mid-August. <br /> <br />Recommendation <br /> <br />Staff recommends Council approval of a contract with Northern Salt Inc. in the amount of $136,882.45 for the <br />2023 Dust Control Project. <br />
