FINAL DELIVERABLE : HSHC 12 <br />After reviewing how the different competitors received their funding, the following financial <br />recommendations can be made to position the Hopkins Schoolhouse and Heritage Center against the other <br />organizations. The District 73 Schoolhouse Conditions Assessment Report included a statement that the <br />property’s estimated value was $260,600 based on the 2021 Washington County Estimate. This valuation <br />of assets puts it above average with the six competitors' asset values. As the city of Hugo owns the <br />schoolhouse and surrounding property, the Hopkins Schoolhouse and Heritage Center will be able to <br />demonstrate financial success based on revenue generation. Some benchmarks to compare against will be <br />the amount of revenue generated from operations activities against income received from contributions <br />and grants. The comparison of revenue sources for White Bear Lake Area Historical Society and Dakota <br />City Heritage Village shows that having at least two major sources of operating activities could result in <br />higher operating revenue. <br />As indicated in the marketing and operations plan previously, two opportunities have been <br />identified to generate service revenue for the organization.
