Council Meeting Minutes for February 5, 2024 <br />Page 2 of 8 <br /> <br />routes that the County was evaluating. Development of the Bernin property at 6540 Greene <br />Avenue also began. The Bernins lived there until the end of 2022 when they terminated the <br />lease. The park master plan was updated, and construction documents were in progress. In 2023, <br />Hanifl shelter was repainted, and the Rice Lake Reserve developers partnered for a trail along <br />CSAH 8 to connect the development to the Hanifl Fields Park. The City’s new facility rental <br />program was launched in 2023, and there were over 500 rentals and around $15,000 in revenue <br />during the first six months with half the bookings done solely online. A grand opening of the <br />Pede Pedersen Pavilion was also in 2023, and along with Lions Volunteer Park, received the <br />Award of Excellence from the Minnesota Recreation and Parks Association. Special events held <br />in 2023 included a sledding party, outdoor concert at the Pede Pedersen Pavilion, Kids ‘n Biz, <br />and the third annual Santa Party and Tree Lighting. <br /> <br />Weidt asked if there was any feedback from those using the pavilion, and Klein asked about the <br />cleaning. Danaway responded that the building seemed very well received, and the City was <br />using a cleaning company that had staff coming in after every event. <br /> <br />Approval of Consent Agenda <br /> <br />Miron made motion, Petryk seconded, to approve the following Consent Agenda: <br /> <br />All Ayes.
