- 2 - <br />Hugo Estates <br />October 19, 2022 <br />Elementary School which has a playground, hockey rink, and ball diamond. Immediately <br />east of the community is a vacant property. In 2021, 40 townhomes to be known as <br />Oneka Lake Reserve was proposed on that site and approved. The development has not <br />been constructed. The approval included a small city park with a small playground and <br />small shelter which would be adjacent to the community. North Star Elementary, on the <br />west side of Highway 61, offers a playground, ball fields and more. <br /> <br />Trails <br /> <br />The Existing and Proposed Trails Map does not show a trail in the area. <br /> <br />The developer has shared an interest in working with the Hugo Good Neighbors Food <br />Shelf, located northeast of the proposed apartments, to provide a pedestrian route to <br />Francesca Avenue North and 152nd Street. There is a controlled intersection at 152nd <br />Street N and Highway 61. On the west side of Highway 61 is North Star Elementary and <br />the Hardwood Creek Regional Trail. <br /> <br />With the approval of Oneka Lake Reserve, a sidewalk was proposed on the north side of <br />150th Street which would connect to the south east corner of the Hugo Estates <br />Community. <br /> <br />5. STAFF RECOMMENDATION: <br /> <br />Staff recommends approval of the payment of park dedication fees for Hugo Estates. <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br />1. Location Map <br />2.
