<br /> <br />CITY OF HUGO <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />TO: Bryan Bear, City Administrator <br /> <br />FROM: Scott Anderson, Public Works Director <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Sale of Miscellaneous Equipment <br /> <br />DATE: For the City Council Meeting of August 5, 2024 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br />Public Works and Fire Department staff are requesting City Council approval for the sale of <br />several pieces of City equipment that are no longer of service to the departments. Some of this <br />equipment has been replaced and new equipment is already in service, other pieces are just <br />simply no longer used and have been stored at Public Works and the Fire Hall. Public Works <br />staff would like to utilize an online auction service to facilitate the sale of this equipment. The <br />following is a partial list of equipment that staff would like to sell using an online auction site: <br /> <br />• 1997 Jeep Wrangler grass fire rig <br />• 2006 Chevrolet 1500 pickup truck <br />• 2006 Chevrolet 2500HD Pickup truck w/lift gate and plow <br />• 2006 Wacker asphalt roller <br />• Skid Steer cutter attachment <br />• 2005 Step asphalt trailer <br />• 30 gallon air compressor <br />• Isulation vacuum and attachments <br />• Brushcat rotary mower attachment for skid steer <br />• Miscellaneous PW parts and tools no longer used <br />• Miscellaneous FD parts and tools no longer used <br /> <br />Please contact me for a complete list of items to be sold at auction. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />DESIRED ACTION <br />Staff is requesting Council authorization to move forward with the sale of surplus equipment <br />using an online auction format. <br />
