<br /> <br />G.7 Approve Pay Request No. 6 to Arnt Construction for 159th Street/TH61 Roundabout <br /> <br />Arnt Construction Company has submitted Pay Request No. 6 in the amount of $36,209.06 for <br />work certified through August 8, 2024, on the TH61/159th Street Roundabout Improvement <br />Project. The project is substantially complete at this time and the retainage has been reduced to <br />1%. Staff recommends Council approve payment to Arnt Construction Company in the amount <br />of $36,209.06. <br /> <br />G.8 Approve Renewal of Mining Permit for Mike Atkinson <br /> <br />The Mining Permit for Mike Atkinson on his property located on the south side of 147th Street <br />between Irish and Hyde Avenue expired on August 2, 2024. Atkinson has applied for a renewal <br />of the permit for another two years. For the past several years, the site has been used to stockpile <br />material, with no mining activity taking place. When the permit was renewed in 2012, the <br />Council allowed Mike Atkinson to move forward with the Mining Permit renewal process <br />without all the conditions being met until the time mining operations began again, due to the cost <br />of meeting those conditions. The requirements not being met are to biannually provide a <br />topographic map of the site, calculation of stockpiled material, amount of granular material left <br />on site to be mined, and a reclamation plan. Staff has found very minimal activity on the site to <br />require those conditions be met for the renewal of his permit. Staff recommends Council <br />approve the Mining Permit for Mike Atkinson for property located on 147th Street North with the <br />condition that all requirements in the permit be met when mining activity begins again. <br /> <br />G.9 Approve Resolution Approving Encroachment Agreement for 16180 Finale Avenue <br />North <br /> <br />Brooke Feyen and John Finney have requested an encroachment agreement to allow construction <br />of a fence within a drainage and utility easement on property located at 16180 Finale Avenue <br />North. The Senior Engineering Technician has reviewed the location of the fence and is <br />comfortable with the request. Staff recommends Council approve the resolution approving the <br />encroachment agreement for 16180 Finale Avenue North. <br /> <br />I.1 Declare Cost to be Assessed and Set Public Hearing for 2024 Street improvement <br />Project (125th Street and Dellwood Ridge) <br /> <br />On April 15, 2024, the City of Hugo awarded the Contract for 125th Street and Dellwood Ridge <br />Development Street Project to Dresel Contracting, Inc. The project is nearing completion. As <br />part of the public improvement process, in accordance with the requirement of state statutes <br />Chapter 429 for assessments to benefitting properties, the City needs to declare the costs to be <br />assessed and conduct the assessment hearing. Staff has prepared two resolutions for Council <br />consideration. The first resolution is a resolution declaring the costs to be assessed and ordering <br />the preparation of the proposed assessment roll for 125th Street and Dellwood Ridge <br />Development Street Project. The second resolution is a resolution calling the hearing on <br />assessments for the 125th Street and Dellwood Ridge Development Street Project to be set for <br />October 7, 2024. The total project cost is $2,877,000. The portion to be assessed is $258,500. <br />Staff recommends Council approve both resolutions. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
