KLOEPPNER SERVICES & DESIGN LLC 0
KS D
3450 Lexington Ave N, Suite 203, Shoreview, MN 55126 Your wafer our neighbors.
(763) 843-4114 1 www.ksd-mn.com I MPCA Lic# L4043
SSTS Site Evaluation Summary Report
6/13/2022
Haven Homes
c/o Brandon Derks
Subject: Septic System Site Evaluation at PID18.031.21.43.0002
Dear Brandon Derks,
On June 7th, 2022, a site evaluation was conducted at the undeveloped lot at PID
18.031.21.43.0002 in Hugo, MN in Washington County to identify two locations for a
Subsurface Sewage Treatment System (SSTS) for a new 5-bedroom house. We were unable to
identify two suitable sized areas for Long-term sewage treatment, Type I soil treatment and
dispersal areas, required for a new dwelling on an undeveloped lot.
Washington County Ordinance 206, Chapter 4, requires the Long-term sewage treatment areas
meet Section 2. (133) Type I System. "Type I System" means a subsurface sewage treatment
system that meets the prescriptive design criteria in Section 17 of this Chapter, and includes
trenches, pressure beds, mounds and at grade systems with no pre-treatment ahead of the soil
treatment area. A Type I system must have a minimum of 12" of suitable soil. The depth to a
limiting condition in the soil was observed between 0" — 10" throughout the useable area. The
limiting condition in the soil was the depth to a Periodic Saturated Soil or Hydric Soil (0" of
usable soil).
Two separate Soil Observations were conducted in the footprint of the proposed house. The
depth to the Limiting Condition in the soil was 9" deep. See attached boring logs "House Boring
#1 ".
The soil observations included, and the Site Plan attached, detail the locations and observations
performed.
Unfortunately, Kloeppner Services & Designs, LLC was unable to find enough space and suitable
soil for a new home on this property.
Sincerely,
.LAl_
Prepared by KSD @ 2022 www.ksd-mn.com
