DESCRIPTION OF REQUEST AND BACKGROUND: <br /> <br />The applicant is requesting approval of a conditional use permit (CUP) to construct a 900 square <br />foot addition for an accessory apartment at the property located at 17220 Keystone Avenue <br />North. Accessory Apartments are allowed as a conditional use in the Agricultural (AG) zoning <br />district. The applicant has stated that the purpose of the accessory apartment is to provide care <br />for a family member. <br /> <br />2. CONTEXT: <br /> <br />A. Surrounding Land Use and Zoning <br /> <br />The properties to the north, west, and south are zoned and guided as Agricultural and consist of <br />large lots occupied by single family homes and agricultural uses.
