2 <br />Staff has drafted text amendments that include the following: <br /> <br />• Removing trailers from the 72-hour timeframe under Sec. 90-253(g)(1)(b) to allow for <br />vehicles to be parked on city streets up to 72 hours, but not trailers. <br />• Prohibiting parking of trailers on all public streets, except while being loaded or <br />unloaded, for a cumulative 24 hours during a seven-day period. <br />• Language stating that a trailer parked on public streets must be moved at least three- <br />tenths of a mile within the seven-day period, or will be considered to have remained <br />parked by the City. <br /> <br /> <br />3. STAFF RECOMMENDATION: <br /> <br />Staff recommended approval of the proposed ordinance amendments to the Planning <br />Commission. <br /> <br />4. PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION: <br /> <br />The Planning Commission recommended that the method of measuring whether a trailer has <br />moved a distance of three tenths of a mile be determined. Staff will continue to work internally <br />to determine a method of measurement. <br /> <br />The Planning Commission unanimously recommended that the City Council approve the <br />ordinance amending the parking ordinance. <br /> <br />Attachments: <br />1.
