. <br /> -2- <br /> Spitzer said the recommendation had been made to the City Council <br /> but that he would make it again. <br /> Motion made by Spitzer, seconded by Rosenquist, that the Planning <br /> Commission recommend to the City Council to adopt the Comprehensive <br /> Municipal Plan with due note being taken to the recommendations made <br /> by the Metro Council and will be considered for further study. <br /> Members for: Peloquin, Rosenquist, Norden, Ehret, Johnson, and <br /> Spitzer. Motion carried. <br /> Motion made by Spitzer, seconded by Johnson, that the Planning <br /> Commission recommend to the City Council that they approve the <br /> proposed Zoning Ordinance and Zoning Map, as presented by Carl <br /> Dale, with the following modifications: With the property west <br /> of the sewer service line designated as "A" be changed to "RR", <br /> minimum lot size in the Agricultural Zone be changed to ten (10) <br /> acres, and all other minimum lot sizes noted in the proposed <br /> Zoning Ordinance and Zoning Map stay the same. <br /> Members for: Peloquin, Rosenquist, Norden, Leroux, Johnson <br /> and Spitzer. Motion carried. <br /> Mr. Johnson stated the sewer line is a fixed line but is not a <br /> cast and concrete line. <br /> Mr. Dale suggested writing the reasons for the decision on the <br /> minimum lot sizes for future legal actions. <br /> Peloquin felt the people east of the sewer line zoned agricultural not R <br /> residential were being handicapped. Ehret said the people on the <br /> west side would have to go through subdivision with additional cost <br /> and the land on the east has always been valued higher than land <br /> in the west. <br /> Laval l e felt they have not solved the problem they started out to <br /> solve and that people would still sell land along the road and not <br /> develop land off the road. <br /> Mr. Johnson said according to the Comprehensive Plan objective was <br /> to keep the area as open and green as possible ana discussing <br /> development is con irary to the Comprehensive Plan. <br /> Mr. Johnson said use of land passes on with the land when it is <br /> sold. <br /> Egret read the definition or Rural ktesiaentijal. <br /> Carl Dale s to ped that maps and zoning ordinance should be available <br /> before the public hearing at the City Hall and to be handed out at <br /> the Public Hearing. <br />
