MINUTES OF PROCEEDINGS OF THE`HUGOPLANNING COMMISSION <br /> • JUNE 11, 1974 <br /> PUBLIC HEARING - MINIATURE GOLF COURSE <br /> Vile public hearing was opened at 7:40 P.M. by Ohairaan Larry Ehret. <br /> Mr. Ehret read the public bearing notice published in the Forest <br /> Lake Times. He also read a letter submitted from the owners of the <br /> Hugo A & W which listed their proposed lighting plan. The plan is <br /> as follows: <br /> 1. 6 poles 30 feet in height - quartze lights <br /> 4' poles need 4 fixtures each with:11500 watts/fixture. <br /> 1 pole needs 2 fixtures with 1500 watts per fixture. <br /> , 1 pole needs 3 fixtures with 1500 watts per fixture. <br /> 2. Slant of fixtures will be aimed at the playing area. <br /> . 3. Diameter of the poles is 7 inches. <br /> 4. The higher the pole is, the more the fixture cam be slanted <br /> ' toward the playing area so that the light-glare is not aimed <br /> at 'the resident' s homes. <br /> A letter was submitted 'from Howard Kuusisto the City Engineer. <br /> • <br /> David. Rirsobt from the David A, Kirscht Assoc. , Inc. , Landscape <br /> Architects gave an explanation of :what is being proposed. <br /> - 17 parking. spaces in the miniature golf course area and <br /> a total of '33 spaces-all together. <br /> - Six foot high redwood fence along back side and 16 feet <br /> along the north and south sides. The remaining area will <br /> be enclosed with chain link fence. A honeysuckle hedge will <br /> be planted along the back side and will grow to a height of <br /> 10 feet. <br /> - Hours Early aid late season 9:30 P.M. Week nights' 9040 and <br /> 11:00 P.M. on weekends. June - August 10:00 week <br /> sights and 11:00 P.M. on weekends. <br /> Traffic will be directed all in one direction. <br /> The meeting was °pened'to the public for comment. <br /> Greg Gruber - 14918 Foxhill Mr. Gruber -had a contour map which showed <br /> the backshadows from street lights and said the'backshadows from the . <br /> miniature golf course. would be 50 feet. Mr. Kirscht explained that <br /> this was different type of lighting and it will be directed onto the <br /> course and- the overspill wouldn't be that great. <br /> Susan Hunt-14770 FoxHill - Ars. Hunt wanted- to know what kind of <br /> maintenance and guards they plan on having. Mr. Kirscht stated <br /> that this hadn't been determined. <br />
