MINUTES OF PROCEEDINGS OF THE HUGO PLANNING COMMISSION <br /> SEPTEMBER 25 . 1974 <br /> The meeting was called to order at 8:13 P.M. by Chairman Larry Ehret. <br /> Membersp resent were: Peloquin, Ehret, Schletty, Rosenquist and <br /> Spitzer. Also present were Irene Leroux, City Council Member; and Bill Schwab, Washington County Coordinator. <br /> Motion made by Spitzer, seconded by Schletty, to dispense with the <br /> reading of the September 10 minutes. Motion carried. <br /> Motion made by Rosenquist, seconded by Schletty, to approve the <br /> minutes of the September 10, 1974 meeting. Motion carried. <br /> HORTON JUNK YARD LICENSE AND SPECIAL USE PERMIT RENEWAL <br /> Mrs. Horton represented Mr. Horton and stated that two truck loads <br /> ofg ravel were brought in for the two parking areas. They have fixed <br /> thep p ost and extended the fence. She also stated that Mrs. Cop has <br /> a copy of the fire lane map that can be picked up. Ken Granger stated <br /> that they would have to have a fire lane from one yard to the next. <br /> Mr. Granger was asked if he could make an inspection before October <br /> 7th and pickup the map. <br /> None of the Planning Commission members present at the meeting has <br /> made an inspection of the junk yard. It was the Planning Commission's <br /> opinion that the junk yard had complied with their requests. <br /> Spitzer asked if they could have someone put up No Parking signs <br /> along Highway 61. Mr. Schwab stated that the Council would have to <br /> contact the State Highway Department. Schletty asked whether they <br /> would keep the parking area up especially in the Spring so people <br /> wouldn't park on the highway? Mrs. Horton stated that if she was <br /> notified of any problems, she would take care of it right away. <br /> Ken Granger stated that the regulations are ignored after they leave <br /> the City Hall. Ehret said that this time they made them meet the <br /> requirements before the Special Use Permit is approved. <br /> Spitzer suggested that the fire lane map be updated every three months <br /> and an inspection be made by the fire chief. <br /> Motion made by Spitzer, seconded by Rosenquist, recommending that <br /> the Horton Junk Yard Special Use Permit be renewed with all conditions <br /> as attached as before except the owner be required to sh =ar re <br /> lane map to the Fire Chief quarterly. Members for: Peloquin, Ehret, <br /> Schletty, Rosenquist and Spitzer. Motion carried. <br />
