Chuck Haas described the Council action on the landscaping that is planned for the end of <br /> the cu-de-sac on Oneka Lake Boulevard;a 3 ft.high,70 ft long planter with landscaping <br /> will be constructed within the 18 feet of land between the end of the cul-de-sac and the <br /> right of way line. <br />• 2. Chuck Haas also reviewed the Towahomes of Bald Eagle Lake with the Commission. <br /> The Commission recommendations are; • <br /> A. Retain the trail access into the wetland area on the west side of the development. <br /> B. Accept cash and no land as the park dedication for this project. <br /> 4. .The Clearwater Creek Greenway Corridor will cross the new CR 8 alignment. A crossing that <br /> is safe and aesthetically pleasing should be included in the planning process with the County. <br /> 5. Beaver Ponds is moving forward. It will be appropriate to review the status of this project in <br /> the fall and begin planning the development. Park play equipment could be purchased for <br /> spring and a park sign could be made. Laurie McRostie will continue to update the <br /> Commission on this project and to pursue the development of a soccer field in the park <br /> 6. Rice Lake Park and the Lutheran Church were discussed. It appears that some communication <br /> wires were crossed and no action has been taken regarding a soccer field. Kathie Marler has <br /> had a subsequent conversation with the pastor.Keith Lohman,and it now appears that they <br /> may not be as interested in a soccer field as they were before. He may attend a meeting in the <br /> near future. <br /> 7. The Council has directed Bob Museus to obtain an appraisal on the HHM land. This land is <br /> under consideration for the combined well field,athletic development complex. <br /> 8. Laurie McRostie developed Park Development Criteria and Site Selection Guidelines for <br /> Neighborhood and Community Parks. She passed these forms out and they will be discussed at <br /> the next meeting. <br /> 9. The Parks Commission would like to pursue the purchase of the Herrin property on the west <br />
