They would like
to provide input to the Council on this matter. The comprehensive park master plan indicates
the need for a neighborhood park in this area. The 11 acres could meet this need if the
purchase price is reasonable. Jim Larue is working on this project and developing a
compromise regarding utilities and possibly the park.
8. The Parks Commission is very concerned about communication with the Planning Commission
and the City Council. They have written a memo to the Hugo City Council that requests that a
process be developed that will include them in the review of development plans and provide a
format for input on other park and recreational matters.
9. The members agreed that they will take turns attending the Council meetings in order to
facilitate this communication process.
NEXT MEETING: The date for the next meeting will be a Wednesday May 12th at 6:30
The preceding represents the landscape architect's understanding of the principal matters discussed.
These notes will stand as a record of the above dated meeting unless written corrections are received
within ten days of issue.
c: Parks Commission
'teib
Tom Angus, OSM
Attachments: Special Park Fund Account Description/March 1999
