Four bids were received. The bids were checked for mathematical <br />accuracy. Please find enclosed the bid summary indicating the low bid for Base, Alternate 1: <br />140th Street N Trail Improvements, Alternate 2: Fenway Avenue N Trail Improvements, Alternate <br />3: 12912 Farnham Avenue N Driveway Improvements (Wilson Tool), and Provisional Items as <br />submitted by Bituminous Roadways, Inc., Mendota Heights, Minnesota in the amount of <br />$3,774,283.50. Contractor’s bids ranged from $3,774,283.50 to $5,095,769.33. The Engineer’s <br />Estimate was $4,337,315.60. <br /> <br />We recommend that the City Council consider these bids and award a contract for only the Base, <br />Alternate 1: 140th Street N Trail Improvements, Alternate 2: Fenway Avenue N Trail <br />Improvements and Provisional Items bids in the amount of $3,572,331.00 to Bituminous <br />Roadways, Inc. based on the results of the bids received.
