BACKGROUND: <br />Tough Mudder has submitted an application for a Special Event Permit to hold a one- <br />day endurance sports event at Wild Wings Game Farm on Saturday, June 27, 2026. <br />Tough Mudder has held an annual two-day event there since 2016, with the exception of <br />2020 due to COVID-19. This event requires a Special Event Permit approved by the <br />Council because there will be an estimated 4,321 participants and 1,569 spectators on <br />site. There will be impacts to public streets, use of an amplified sound system, and <br />alcohol served. <br />2. DESCRIPTION OF EVENT: <br />There will be 15K and 5K courses with 20+ military-style obstacles. Setup for the event <br />will begin on Friday, June 19, and the event will take place the following weekend on <br />June 27. All required information has been submitted as part of the operations plan. <br />3. REQUIREMENTS: <br />The applicant has provided the City with the completed permit application. In <br />accordance with this permit, the applicant shall conduct the event as described in the <br />application materials, in addition to the following: <br />Prior to the Event <br />1. The applicant will mail notices to residents on Irish Avenue, Hyde Avenue, <br />Homestead Avenue, and 147th Street informing them of the event. The notice will <br />be approved by City staff prior to mailing.
